Home next TUESDAY! A month in the hospital, I haven't spent this much time in a hospital since my FP residency at Hinsdale in '86. While here, I've learned much about teamwork, patience and the power of positive influence (I'll do my best to retain and reapply learnings).

I've also relearned to climb stairs (18 steps is max so far), walk short distances without assitance, feed myself etc... I still haven't figured out how to get up off the floor, if/when I go down. (Upper extremeties are weaker than lower, distal weaker than proximal). Arms are gaining strength (left weaker than right), I'm not strong enough (yet) to wheel myself in a wheel chair for more than 20-30 feet. Plumbing works on demand;-)

Dayton Daily News interviewed me today, article tommorrow? (Never know about how an article turns out).

Support remains awesome, THANKYOU. Pam is my candidate for sainthood.

Second chances, such a gift.

Ron: How fantastic that you're going home next week! The progress you have made is amazing, and we know how hard you've been working. You're on the prayer list of several groups up here; the Burr Ridge church and the fantastic prayer warriors that my friend Connie belongs to. We can't wait to see you in a few weeks. Keep working hard and we love you lots!
