It's wonderful you have set up this blog, Ron & Pam. I can click in from 6 thousand miles away in an instant! I'm just thrilled by the milestones Ron has already passed... sensation from head-to-toe, some movement of limb girdles and sitting on the side of the bed! From the perspective of a lay person, that seems to be really rapid progress. It is unbelievable how quickly an accident can occur. But in this case, outcomes could have been so much worse; I thank God they were not! You guys, with more specificity on Ron, are remembered every time I pray. I can't help but believe the rapid progress Ron has made so far is due, in part, to the many prayers in his behalf. Ron saw blue sky on Monday; I still see it today, and it stretches clear to the horizon. Keep your eyes on that sky, my friend!
Pam, I'm so glad you have set up this blog for updates. You are all in our prayers and we are so thankful for the progress so far-I have a good feeling about this! Chris VanDenburgh
Ron, It was good to hear from Pam that you are outpacing your docs' recovery timeline. Keep up the strong work my friend. I am sure that your particular "strength of character" (which I have called various other names over the years) will be quite as asset during your rehab. Robyn's and my (and our family's) thoughts and prayers are with you every day. Talk soon buddy. --- Jim T.
I'm sure it's occurred to you recently how much we exchange avoidance of chronic disease with the slings/arrows of acute injury. I'm so sorry you're going through this, Ron, and look forward to seeing responses back that you type out. In the interim, you may want to try Dragon Speak -- it's a decent text recognition system, and it might allow you some more autonomy.
My thoughts are with you -- let us know how the PM community can support you?
Hi Ron and Pam, Was so nice to see you on Sabbath(Ron and parents)It is amazing to see your progress and how hard you are working. We continue to have you in our thoughts and prayers. Dan and Richa Stevems
Ron: Well, as usual, you're in a very unique situation!!! We are so grateful that you are doing so well, and are praying for your complete recovery. Every success is huge, and from talking to Pam and reading the info on the blog, you have made fantastic progress. We sure wish we could see you tomorrow, but we did not travel to West Virginia due to the horrible weather in Chicago. Keep your eye on the blue sky and force those docs to keep rewriting your progress timeline! Our challenge to you is for you to be home before we come to Ohio the weekend of October 11 for Aly to visit Miami. We love you and Pam, Johnny and Elle, and you all are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

Sorry about the above comment from Ridge (my son) -- I used his Google acct.
Yours enigmatically,
