Homestyle

Foods great, beds comfortable, family is fantastic (dog still stincks and slobers), what's not to like.

Here at home the difference between "can and can't" is more obvious... it's obvious that theres lot's of work to do to get back in shape! I walked more yesterday than in the previous week (Walmart excursion was "fun" secondary to electric wheelchair) and was happy to crawl in bed last night.

On the day prior to discharge, after complaining about my shoulder for the past month, I looked at myself in the mirror and noted an obvious AC difformity in my right shoulder. The grinding and clicking coupled with deformity led to my 'insisting" on an MRI. Results: 3 degree AC seperation, rotator cuff tear (supraspinatus) with some impingment. (At least I know why it hurts).

Spirits are excellent (except that Elle passed her driving test and got her license, watch out Warren County)!

Hello Ron,

Sandy and I have been keeping up with your progress through the Chobotars. We are so glad that you are on the road to recovery. I came very close to the same predicament in July. I took a header off my mountain bike and landed on my head and shoulder. I broke my collarbone (again) and my helmet in 3 places, but thank God, not my neck. We think about you often and hope you are improving. If you need an additional diversion, you should join facebook :) btw this is being posted from my daughter's google account, thus the "Taryn" byline.

Hey Ron, Great to hear that you are home. I am coming back to run the Columbus marathon. Knee surgery on the 30th is keeping me to a 1/2 marathon this time. I will give you a call and try to stop by when I'm in town. I'll bring something better than flowers like the last visit...lol! I had a grade 3 separation from a crash on my dirt bike in 2003. Except for a funny bump it works well...I'm sure yours will too. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Tell Pam, Elle and John I said hi. I'm sure its tough at times, but you have a great attitude and support team. Blessings, Tim Sherwin
